Kristen Wiegand — Art

I am a fourth generation Californian who received my B.A. in Visual and Performing Arts, as well as my Multiple Subject Credential from California State University, San Marcos. I recently completed my Masters of Education: Curriculum and Instruction, which incorporated the arts. My teaching career has spanned all grade levels and most subjects with my longest being in the visual and performing arts.

My mission is to provide a fun, stimulating environment in which students can feel successful and challenged with their art. I desire to help students experience the joys of art and recognize the artist within. I believe art provides each child with the opportunity to develop higher level thinking skills and problem solving skills.

I enjoy traveling and camping with family and friends, reading, taking walks, and experimenting with various art mediums.
