I am currently
the principal of the Folsom Elementary campus
for The Phoenix Schools. I grew up in a small
Nebraska town and graduated from the University
of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Early Childhood Education in 1980.
Immediately following my college education I
began teaching. I have taught kindergarten,
first grade and second grade in both public and
private schools in Colorado and California.
During my employment with The Phoenix Schools, I
assisted in the development of the current
Phoenix curriculum in my capacity as an
elementary teacher and kindergartener
coordinator from 1993 to 2000. I have
continued to further develop and refine the
program during my capacity as the Principal at
The Phoenix Schools since 2001. The program
is based on successful, existing teaching
principles as well as a combination of new
strategies. The educational results of Phoenix
students SAT scores evidences the educational
development our students and their achievements
under the Phoenix curriculum. Our Phoenix
parents are equally pleased as they will attest
that their children excel in our program.
I have a husband
and two daughters who I enjoy spending time
with. When I am not busy attending to school
matters I spend my leisure time cooking and
gardening.
