Our family has been a part of the Phoenix Schools of many years now.  It has become a way of life for us.  It is a great, affordable, private school that serves the Folsom community.  Phoenix has impacted our children in many positive ways. The most important one of them has been the curriculum.  The education plan has been put together well in each area: Language Arts, math, Science and Social Studies.  The children are also exposed to Spanish, Music, Art, P.E., and Computers.  Being educated according to the National Standards gives a definite edge to our children than if they were to study by California Standards.  National level testing from early grades helps the children and the teachers figure out a way to perform better every year.  The children are able to hold their own, and even excel, in many areas outside school because they have a very good knowledge of their subjects.  Hands on investigations and great field trips add to their knowledge base.  Each teacher works tirelessly to help each child succeed.  Which brings me to the most important reason for The Phoenix School system is so successful!  The teachers!   They put in a lot of effort and are always approachable.  The kids become their very own!  No request is too big for them.  And it is always handled with a smile. 

We especially enjoyed the various clubs offered to the children, math spelling and geography being some of them.  These children are then participating in many competitions and receiving accolades as well.

There are several other principles to the Phoenix School system.  Lifeskills are one of them.  They are an excellent guiding tool for the social development of our children.  From very early on, these are incorporated in daily activities along with letter writing and math! 
Phoenix has not only helped our children be exemplary students, but exemplary human beings as well.

Folsom Campus Fourth - Eighth Grade

What does it mean to be a 4th-8th grader at The Phoenix Schools Elementary and Middle School in Folsom? It means getting an awesome education, learning practical real life skills, and having a great time with friends! Something that makes The Phoenix Schools unique is that we offer classes suited for all learning levels. We have traditional classes for children who are learning at their current grade level, and accelerated classes for children who are learning above their current grade level. Core curriculum classes in Reading, Language Arts, Science, Math and Social Studies help our students score in the 97th percentile in the nation. Our highly knowledgeable teachers are very educated and specialized in the subject they teach. All children have weekly enrichment specialty classes in Art, Spanish, Computer technology, Physical Education, and Music. Specialty classes in Journalism/Yearbook and Multi Media Film and Technology are also offered to the 6th-8th graders. A wide variety of extracurricular clubs and competitions, after school sports, music and arts programs are also offered as an added bonus for our students.
